Reviewer verdict

Across 20 YouTube reviews, the Viofo WM1 earns a Summa score of 4.4/5, ranking #6 among Dash Cams. Reviewers most often praise its features, video quality, app & software, while the most common criticisms concern mounting & installation, features.

Reviewers praise the Viofo WM1 for its strong feature set and recording capabilities, with many (66 mentions) highlighting wireless/Bluetooth remote, parking modes, app/Wi‑Fi control, and included accessories like a polarizing filter and microSD. Video quality is frequently commended (45 mentions) — reviewers point to Sony Starvis sensors, 2K/Quad HD resolution, HDR and improved low‑light/night performance that yield clear, readable footage. The app and connectivity (29 mentions) and ease of use/installation features (24 mentions) are also repeatedly noted, with many saying the app is fast and the unit easy to set up. Design, compact build and perceived reliability appear across multiple reviews (23 and 16 mentions respectively), reinforcing the camera’s overall value and day‑to‑day dependability.

Criticisms center on mounting and installation limitations (13 mentions), including lack of a suction‑cup option, limited tilt/adjustability, and grounding/power complications on some vehicles. Several reviewers (12 mentions) note feature limitations tied to hardware choices: the WM1 is a single‑channel front camera that requires a specific hardwire kit for parking features and is not compatible with older hardwire accessories. Usability and software quibbles appear as smaller but repeated issues (menus, voice control, and occasional app/Wi‑Fi annoyances across 6–5 mentions), and a few reviewers raised minor design complaints such as the small screen/hinge and USB‑C cable handling.
