Reviewer verdict

Across 21 YouTube reviews, the MSI Thin 15 earns a Summa score of 3.9/5, ranking #41 among Gaming PCs & Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, value, build quality, while the most common criticisms concern build quality, battery life (laptops).

Reviewers consistently praise the MSI Thin 15 for its excellent balance of performance, portability, and value. It packs capable hardware, including 13th-gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia RTX 40-series GPUs, delivering smooth 1080p gaming and solid creative workload performance. This power is housed in a sleek, lightweight chassis that is easy to carry, appealing to students and traveling gamers. The package is rounded out by a fast 144Hz IPS-level display for fluid visuals, a generous selection of modern ports for connectivity, and significant upgrade potential for both RAM and storage. Many highlight its competitive pricing, describing it as a top budget-friendly option for a versatile, all-rounder laptop.

The laptop's affordability comes with significant trade-offs, primarily in its construction and display. Reviewers frequently criticize the plastic build, citing noticeable flex in the chassis and keyboard deck and raising concerns about long-term hinge durability. While the display's 144Hz refresh rate is good for gaming, it suffers from low brightness and poor color gamut, making it unsuitable for outdoor use or professional creative work. Furthermore, the GPU is often power-limited, which throttles its performance in demanding games compared to competitors with the same graphics card. Poor battery life is another common complaint, cementing its reliance on the power adapter for any serious task.
