Reviewer verdict

Across 32 YouTube reviews, the Echelon Stride-5s earns a Summa score of 3.8/5, ranking #79 among Treadmills. Reviewers most often praise its features, footprint, tech integration, while the most common criticisms concern value, features.

The Stride-5s is widely praised for its compact, space-saving design and convenient autofold/transport features, a point mentioned by many reviewers (66 mentions). Reviewers also repeatedly highlight the treadmill's feature set and user-friendly console — including device holders, USB charging, safety bar, preset workouts and integrated heart-rate sensors — which appeared most often across reviews (68 mentions). Tech integration with the Echelon app and Bluetooth connectivity and access to live and on-demand classes is another common positive noted by a substantial subset of reviewers (38 mentions). Performance, comfort and perceived value receive additional favorable comments, with several reviewers calling out a smooth, quiet motor, a cushioned deck and a reasonable mid-range price/value balance (27, 17, and 17 mentions respectively).

Criticisms center on value and ongoing subscription costs, with many reviewers calling out the app fee, short warranty and feeling the product is pricey for what is included (20 mentions). A frequently raised functional concern is the relatively low-powered motor and limited onboard display options — reviewers repeatedly noted a 1.75–1.75 CHP motor and lack of a built-in HD touchscreen as drawbacks for serious running (19 mentions). Durability and build-solidness were also common issues, with many reviewers reporting wobble, thin tread deck or a flimsy feel especially at higher speeds or inclines (19 mentions). Additional complaints include a somewhat small/narrow running surface and occasional performance hiccups such as belt hitching or slow speed/incline response (15 and 14 mentions).

the UI could also definitely be a bit better for example they've chosen here to have the instructor not centered to the screen and more shifted to the right which makes sense if you want to have the leaderboard up but when the leader board down it just looks pretty strange and while the metrics are laid out here they're not necessarily the easiest to quickly glance at during in a run ▶ Echelon Stride-8S Treadmill - 5 Things to Know! @ 5:07
