Reviewer verdict

Across 19 YouTube reviews, the Sony SRS-XB43 earns a Summa score of 4.2/5, ranking #7 among Bluetooth Speakers. Reviewers most often praise its features, sound quality, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern portability, sound quality.

The Sony SRS-XB43 is widely praised for its extensive feature set and app integration, with many reviewers (90 mentions) highlighting USB power-out, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, multiple input/output ports, Party Connect/stereo pairing, and deep app control for EQ, lighting and firmware. Reviewers also consistently praise its sound quality (40 mentions) — a two-way driver/tweeter design with passive radiators that delivers clear vocals, strong mids and punchy bass for a portable speaker. Battery life and charging (33 mentions) are noted positively too, with long runtimes, stamina mode and USB-C charging repeatedly mentioned. Build and design receive frequent approval (29 and 28 mentions) for solid, premium-feeling construction, IP67 water/dust resistance, and attractive LED lighting options.

Common criticisms focus on portability and weight (17 mentions), with many reviewers calling the XB43 heavy and less convenient to carry and noting no strap or handle included. Some reviewers (16 mentions) find sound compromises in certain modes — stamina mode strips bass and side-mounted passive radiators change bass behavior compared with earlier models — and a few report aggressive mids or only middling spatial performance at louder levels. Additional complaints include mixed feelings about the lighting and app experience, missing features compared with older models (14 mentions), and battery-life realities that fall short of the 24-hour claim at high volumes or with lights on (8 mentions).
