Hot Wheels Tesla Cybertruck RC

Reviewer verdict

Across 24 YouTube reviews, the Mattel Hot Wheels Hot Wheels Tesla Cybertruck RC earns a Summa score of 3.4/5, ranking #1 among RC Vehicles & Hobby Drones. Reviewers most often praise its features, performance, value for money, while the most common criticisms concern performance, features.

Reviewers consistently praise the Cybertruck RC as a fast, fun, and highly entertaining toy across its various scales. The controls are responsive, and a turbo boost button provides thrilling bursts of speed, making it enjoyable to perform spins and drifts. Its design is a faithful and attractive reproduction of the actual vehicle, enhanced by features like working headlights and taillights, functional suspension, and the included Cyberquad accessory that fits in the bed. The convenience of a rechargeable battery, quick charge times on smaller models, and compatibility with standard Hot Wheels tracks add significant play value, making it a great gift for collectors and kids alike.

The most significant drawback is the vehicle's cheap, flimsy plastic construction, which feels unsubstantial and prone to scuffs, scratches, and breakage, making it seem overpriced for the quality. Many reviewers noted that while the truck itself is rechargeable, the controller requires separate AA batteries that are not included. Other common complaints include the non-functional Cyberquad accessory, which is often just a static piece of molded plastic, and performance limitations like a poor turning radius, lack of four-wheel drive, and difficulty controlling the vehicle when using the powerful boost function.
