Reviewer verdict

Across 30 YouTube reviews, the Wolfbox G900 earns a Summa score of 4.4/5, ranking #8 among Dash Cams. Reviewers most often praise its features, design & build quality, mounting & installation, while the most common criticisms concern other, features.

The G900 is widely praised for its feature-rich mirror-dash design, with many reviewers (102 mentions) highlighting hands-free voice control, built-in SD card, split-screen live viewing of front/rear/cabin cameras, and comprehensive recording modes (4K front, 2.5K rear, 1080p cabin) that reviewers say give excellent coverage and a sense of security. Reviewers frequently note strong video and night performance (around 25–16 mentions) attributed to Sony Starvis 2/IMX678 sensors, producing crisp daytime footage, good low-light/night vision, and usable license-plate detail in many situations. The large 12-inch touchscreen, intuitive touchscreen/voice/app controls and straightforward installation options were also commonly praised (ease of use, mounting, and design/build quality together account for many mentions). Additional recurring positives include generous included storage, GPS/tracking overlays, dual-band 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi app integration for fast transfers, and overall perceived value and reliability across multiple reviewers.

Criticisms cluster around installation and real-world use: several reviewers report fitment and mounting issues (heavy/bulky unit, cable length and rewiring needs, and occasional compatibility problems with existing mounts), and parking/24-hour monitoring requires a separate hardwiring kit or accessory. Reviewers also note limitations of camera optics versus the human eye—some find the rear view angled, delayed (30 fps) or less clear in certain night or glare conditions, and a minority report video artifacts, flicker, or inconsistent GPS speed readings. A few reviewers mentioned extra cost for accessories and occasional reliability/quality-control problems (defective unit arrival) as additional drawbacks.

what makes this one perfect for what we do is because it has three different cameras. But it also has a rear camera. So if you're towing a trailer or in our case, we're getting a camper put on the Tacoma. And once that camper gets put on, trying to see through my stock rearview mirrors, past the cab window, and then past the camper window, that visibility is going to be limited.
