Dyson V15 Detect Absolute

Reviewer verdict

Across 18 YouTube reviews, the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute earns a Summa score of 3.9/5, ranking #1 among Stick Vacuums. Reviewers most often praise its versatility/attachments, suction power, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern versatility/attachments, weight and maneuverability.

The Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is praised for its powerful suction and exceptional cleaning performance across various floor types, particularly its deep cleaning on carpets. Reviewers consistently highlight its innovative features, especially the laser-illuminated Fluffy head that makes invisible dust visible on hard floors, and the piezo sensor that counts particles and automatically adjusts power. The vacuum includes a versatile set of effective attachments, with the anti-tangle technology in the main brush and hair screw tool proving highly effective for hair. Combined with good battery life, a display showing remaining runtime, and a hygienic emptying system, many consider it a superior and satisfying cordless cleaning tool.

The primary drawbacks of the Dyson V15 are its premium price tag and the ergonomic design requiring users to continuously hold down the power trigger, which can be fatiguing. It is also heavier than many previous models, a factor some find cumbersome. Another common complaint is the need to manually swap cleaner heads for optimal performance on carpets versus hard floors, unlike competitors with all-in-one solutions. Furthermore, the relatively small dustbin requires frequent emptying, and the battery takes over four hours to fully recharge, potentially interrupting larger cleaning jobs.
