The D7 is praised across reviewers for being easy to use and versatile, with six reviewers noting features like lightweight cordless handling, multiple cleaning modes, and useful attachments. Cleaning performance and navigation also earned broad agreement (each mentioned by six reviewers), highlighted by strong suction claims (2700 Pa), an extra-wide brush roll, laser navigation with multi-floor map memory, and the ability to reach under low-clearance furniture. Several reviewers pointed out maintenance conveniences such as a pre-installed/extra large dust bag and washable carbon filter, and battery/runtime positives were noted by a few reviewers. Overall, reviewers commonly emphasize the D7's strong suction and functional navigation combined with user-friendly design and maintenance features.
Criticisms centered on weak airflow and subpar carpet results, with four reviewers saying low suction/airflow harmed deep cleaning, hair pickup, and fine-debris performance. Maintenance drawbacks were also mentioned by four reviewers, including reliance on specific replacement bags, a small vacuum container, and awkward disassembly requiring a screwdriver. Usability issues appeared in three reviews that reported dock alignment problems on uneven surfaces, repeated errors, and heavy app dependence, while navigation and mapping features lack some containment controls according to a couple of reviewers. Several reviewers concluded the D7 is less effective on carpet and has some practical maintenance and app limitations.
