Across 24 YouTube reviews, the COROS Apex 2 earns a Summa score of 3.9/5, ranking #35 among Fitness Trackers. Reviewers most often praise its features, accuracy, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern features, accuracy.

Reviewers praise the COROS Apex 2 for packing extensive outdoor and training features, with many (58 mentions) highlighting robust mapping/navigation (offline topo maps, GPX import, turn-by-turn or off-course alerts), wide sport mode support, music storage options (8–32 GB) and new sensors (SpO2, HRV, ECG support). Battery life is repeatedly singled out (33 mentions) as a major strength, with reviewers reporting long multi-day smartwatch use and up to dozens of hours in GPS modes. Accuracy and reliability of sensors and GPS (32 mentions) are also frequently noted, with multiple reviewers calling GPS and heart-rate tracking very accurate and praising multi-band/dual-frequency and multi-GNSS support. Reviewers additionally like the premium design, lightweight comfort, durability (sapphire/titanium) and an easy-to-use app ecosystem, which together make the watch feel feature-rich and well-rounded.

Criticisms concentrate on software and smartwatch limitations (52 cons clustered on features), especially clunky music handling (MP3-only transfers, no streaming at launch), limited smartwatch/notification capabilities and some missing or restricted navigation/feature behaviors (maps not preinstalled, limited routability, customization limits). Accuracy and connectivity issues are also reported (28 mentions), including occasional GPS and heart-rate dropouts in specific situations, inconsistent sleep and floor tracking, and some GPS quirks in confined or urban environments. Reviewers also call out usability rough edges (14 mentions) such as finicky touchscreen/scroll wheel behavior, occasional lag or crashes, and app/software maturity concerns, and a smaller set note compatibility gaps (ANT+ absent, Bluetooth snags) and a few ergonomics or durability complaints.

  • with the chorus I found that even even Cento was handling the connection better so I'd get back and maybe after a couple of minutes the center would just automatically ping up to Strava and of course I really felt like I had to go onto the app even though I've checked the iPhone settings and they seem to be good I'd have to refresh scroll down down and that would rekindle the relationship between the phone and the watch and even then it wouldn't be instant it would be quite a delay it's definitely time to make that integration better and again that might have just been my settings it might have just been my iPhone it might just have been my watch but that's what I found anyway ▶ Why Coros FAILED with the Apex 2 | DON’T BUY! @ 13:29
