Reviewer verdict

Across 21 YouTube reviews, the Amazon Echo Show 15 (2nd Gen) with Fire TV built‑in earns a Summa score of 3.7/5, ranking #1 among Smart Displays. Reviewers most often praise its features & functionality, design & build quality, other, while the most common criticisms concern features & functionality, design & build quality.

The Echo Show 15 excels as a central household hub, primarily due to its large and vibrant 15.6-inch Full HD display. This screen is perfect for family organization, featuring customizable widgets for calendars, shopping lists, and reminders, all personalized for each user with Visual ID facial recognition. A major highlight is the built-in Fire TV, which, paired with the included remote, transforms the device into a capable small television for streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video, making it ideal for a kitchen. It also serves as a comprehensive smart home controller with a visual interface for managing devices and viewing camera feeds, all wrapped in a sleek, wall-mountable design that doubles as a digital photo frame.

Despite its versatility, the Echo Show 15's performance in key areas is underwhelming. Reviewers consistently find the audio quality to be middling, lacking the bass and depth of other Echo devices, making it unsuitable as a primary music speaker. The total cost is a significant drawback, as the base price is already high, and a stand is not included, requiring an expensive separate purchase for countertop use. Additionally, the glossy screen is highly reflective with narrow viewing angles, and wall-mounting presents the aesthetic challenge of a visible power cable without extra installation work.
